For brokers
Broker registration and cooperation
Licensed brokers may contact LEYDARS regarding a represented client, property, or transaction opportunity in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia.
Client and opportunity registration
Prepare a written registration.
Enter the client or opportunity, your firm and representation status, and the relevant property or requirement. The tool prepares an email for review and does not send it automatically.
Client identities can be held back until terms are agreed. A registration is acknowledged in writing so that both firms hold the same record of who introduced whom, and when.
Keep a written record of the introduction.
Cooperation and compensation
Document the agreement before brokerage work begins
Cooperation and fee arrangements are documented before work begins. The written agreement sets out the scope of cooperation, the treatment of the fee, and the conditions under which it is earned, so that no question of compensation arises in the middle of a transaction.
Brokerage of record. LEYDARS is affiliated with Samson Properties, and real estate brokerage services connected with its engagements are conducted by licensed professionals under that affiliation. Written cooperation agreements reflect the brokerage of record.
